2016 FANTASY FOOTBALL ISSUES: SIGNING OF ARIAN FOSTER CLOUDS MIAMI BACKFIELD

Joining the Chicago Bears and New York Giants, the Miami Dolphins became the latest NFL team to muddy their running back waters after they signed veteran and former All-Pro back Arian Foster to a one-year deal on Monday.  Having passes a physical to show he was pretty much all the way back from the torn from a year ago, Foster joins second-year man Jay Ajayi and rookie Kenyan Drake in the battle for 2016 carries.  What the Foster signing means in essence is that the team is far from sold on Ajayi who didn't impress anyone as a rookie in 2015 and during this past minicamp.  Struggling to catch the football and lacking explosion, Ajayi now has a fight on his hands for carries.  At the very least, Foster can be a terrific receiving back for the Dolphins as he hauled in 22 balls in just 3-plus games a year ago and he still showed some decent speed as well.  We all know there is a cap on how much work Foster gets on a week-to-week basis due to his injury history but the bottom line here is that Ajayi is hurt bad by this.  What this also means is that the Dolphins are added to the list of teams without a back who will commandeer the majority of carries and thus this is a situation best avoided.
