FANTASY BASEBALL ISSUES: KOLTEN WONG DEMOTED TO MINORS, THE DISAPPOINTMENT CONTINUES

The St. Louis Cardinals were forced to at least temporarily throw in the towel in struggling second baseman Kolten Wong, as the team sent him back to the minor leagues after watching two months of ugly play when he hit just .222.  Once heralded as one of the more talented young second baseman in the game coming from the always fertile St. Louis systen, Wong has simply been abysmal going back to the second half of 2015.  While Wong was lauded for having developing power and very good speed for an infielder, a .250 batting average through three MLB seasons shows you how disappointing Wong has been.  The bottom line here now is that Wong can be labeled a Quad-A guy until he proves otherwise and his standing in fantasy baseball can't get any lower.  Cut him loose in all formats.
