FANTASY BASEBALL INJURY FALLOUT: DAVID WRIGHT LIKELY DONE FOR 2016 AND MAYBE CAREER DUE TO NECK SURGERY

The news is very ominous when it comes to New York Mets third baseman David Wright who finally gave in to having to undergo neck surgery on Thursday that will likely finish him for the 2016 season.  In addition, there are questions about whether or not Wright will be able to come back at all as the spinal stenosis he was diagnosed with a year ago has not allowed him to play for more than a few weeks at a time before another major issue crops up.  This is a very nasty and unfortunate fall for Wright who at one point in his career was a five-tool first round pick.  With both his power and speed looking shot due to the spinal stenosis, Wright was a major shell of his former self.  The bottom line here now is that we are right there now in terms of throwing Wright into that "salute the career and move on for good" by the looks of it.
