FANTASY BASEBALL BREAKING NEWS: FRANCISCO CERVELLI DOWN 4-6 WEEKS WITH BUSTED HAND

The Pittsburgh Pirates continued with their injury-marred ways Saturday as they placed starting catcher Francisco Cervelli on the disabled list for what is expected to be a 4-6 week absence due to a broken hand suffered during Friday night's game.  Cervelli broke the hand while taking a hard swing in Friday's game and he will now be replaced by no-hit veteran Chris Stewart.

Analysis:  While Cervelli has zero power to speak of, he has posted some decent batting averages the last few seasons and his counting stats in runs and RBI were very good solid for a catcher.  Alas there is pretty much no reason to hold onto Cervelli due to how long he will be out.  That goes for NL-only formats as well.  Cut him loose.
