FANTASY FOOTBALL ISSUES: EAGLES TRADE MEANS GOFF, WENTZ TO GO 1-2

For the second time in two weeks, a blockbuster trade has re-configured the top of the 2016 NFL Draft.  After the Los Angeles Rams traded a bounty with the Tennessee Titans to move up to the number 1 overall spot, the Philadelphia Eagles did almost as much in acquiring the number 2 overall pick from the Cleveland Browns for five picks.  While the Rams have not said publicly who they will take number 1, they will undoubtedly choose between Cal QB Jared Goff or North Dakota State's Carson Wentz.  The Eagles meanwhile will go with whoever the Rams pass on which sets up another classic 1-2 QB selection process at the top of the draft.  What is interesting about the trades is the fact that you will have a tough time finding a personnel expert or GM who thinks Goff or Wentz is a sure-fire QB pick which is almost always the level teams need to justify making such a huge trade.  While both have ability, both also have serious drawbacks that have many doubting their upside.  Either way, Rams and Eagles are wedded to the two of them for better or worse.

Now as far as the fallout from the deal, the San Diego Chargers will now likely go with OT Laremy Tunsil at number 3 overall as a prime protector for aging QB Philip Rivers which then brings up the Dallas Cowboys who always beat to their own draft drum.  UCLA LB Myles Jack, Florida State DB Jalen Ramsay, DE Joey Bosa, and RB Ezekiel Elliott are all in play here but the Cowboys are all but certain to go with their own convictions no matter how crazy those plans end up being.
