FANTASY BASEBALL CLOSER WATCH: JASON GRILLI PREDICTABLY BLOWS FIRST SAVE, ONLY MATTER OF TIME FOR ARODYS VIZCAINO

It was as obvious an outcome as one could get when it comes to the closer fraternity when Atlanta Braves manager Freddie Gonzalez called on ancient veteran closer Jason Grilli to finish out a one-run lead versus the Washington Nationals in the opener for the team.  Grilli promptly blew the save on two this and walk, which followed a dominant eighth by intriguing Arodys Vizcaino.  Vizcaino tossed a scoreless frame which included two strikeouts and continued with his dominant spring where he flashed big velocity.  Keep in mind that Vizcaino was very good in 2015 as well when he pitched to a 1.60 ERA and 1.19 WHIP.  After Grilli threw away the game, Gonzalez went on record saying Vizcaino was the primary closing option but that he would also put him when the most potent opposing bats come up which was the case in Monday's game.  This is puzzling since it goes against the closer handbook but Gonzalez seems resolute about this.  So what does this all mean?  For now Vizcaino is the clear name to own and fully invest in but Grilli could still get the odd save given Gonzalez' stance.
