FANTASY BASEBALL CLOSER NEWS: TWINS THINK GLEN PERKINS (SHOULDER) WON'T BE OUT LONG AFTER DL STINT IS UP

Minnesota Twins GM Terry Ryan said early Friday that he believes closer Glen Perkins will be able to return at or soon after his 15-day DL stint is through.  Perkins is currently on the DL with a strained left shoulder and a second MRI conducted has not come back yet.  Kevin Jepsen will handle the ninth inning in his absence.

Analysis:  Sounds like good news but we are not taking this as much more than GM-speak.  Shoulders are always very scary for pitchers and the second MRI is still not known as far as results. Jepsen is a very capable fill-in but he doesn't look like he will get save chances on the miserable Twins.
