FANTASY BASEBALL BREAKING NEWS: MATT HOLLIDAY STARTS AT FIRST BASE FOR OPENER

The St. Louis Cardinals will go with Matt Holliday at first base in the team's opener versus the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday.  Manager Mike Matheny spoke of using the aging Holliday at first base this season, especially against lefties, given his limited age and growing risk of injury.  Tommy Pham will start in leftfield in Holliday's old spot.

Analysis:  Holliday should get first base eligibility by the end of April in 5-to-10 game benchmarks which will boost his sinking value.  While Holliday can still hit for average, his power is dropping off and he no longer runs even a little.  He is nothing more than an outfielder 3 at this late stage of the game.
