FANTASY BASEBALL BREAKING NEWS: JACOB DeGROM (LAT) MIGHT NEED DL STINT?

A day after leaving his first start of the season early due to soreness in his right lat muscle, New York Mets pitcher Jacob DeGrom reported more pain in the area when he arrived at the clubhouse late Saturday.  Manager Terry Collins admitted he was growing concerned about DeGrom and that a decision "might have to be made" if his pitcher still is feeling soreness on Sunday.

Analysis:  When we first heard DeGrom was dealing with a lat problem, the DL instantly was the knee-jerk thought here as a pitcher will have a tough time throwing with any sort of issue there.  In addition to the injury, DeGrom is awaiting the birth of his child where he will go on maternity for a few days which could also help nudge him to a DL stint.  There are a few worries about DeGrom as well on the pitching front since he is still down 3-4 mph on his fastball.  Stay tuned.
