FANTASY BASEBALL NEWS: JIMMY PAREDES DOWN AT LEAST A WEEK WITH A SPRAINED LEFT WRIST, X-RAYS ON TAP

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Jimmy Paredes will miss at least a week of spring training action after he sprained his left wrist while trying to snare a Logan Forsythe fly ball in Thursday's Grapefruit League game.  Manager Buck Showalter said that he doesn't believe the injury is serious but X-rays will be taken to rule out any breaks.

Analysis:  Paredes opened some eyes last April and May when he hit for a high average and stole some bases with a few home runs.  He eventually went back to his backup outfielder status in real-life baseball as Paredes struggles badly to make consistent contact.  He is not worth owning in almost all fantasy baseball formats.
