FANTASY BASEBALL INJURY FALLOUT: ASDRUBAL CABRERA MIGHT BEGIN SEASON ON DL

New York Mets shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera could begin the 2016 fantasy baseball season on the disabled list after being diagnosed with a left patella strain.  Cabrera went back to New York from Florida to get additional tests on the knee which revealed the strain and the Mets will now shut him down completely for two weeks.  That puts Cabrera very close to the start of the season in terms of then him having to get ramped up again with his preparation and so plans should be made already for anyone who holds stock in the Mets shortstop.  Right now Ruben Tejada is slated to fill in for Cabrera and his counterpart's injury also makes it less likely he will be dealt to the St. Louis Cardinals which has been rumored.  Move Cabrera down slightly in your 2016 cheat sheets but overall this looks like at most a week on the sidelines to begin the season which is not a major deal.
