FANTASY BASEBALL INJURY FALLOUT: SCRATCH AARON ALTHERR OFF SLEEPER LISTS

First Jhonny Peralta and now Aaron Altherr.  The last two days have resulted in some significant injuries that are already shaping the 2016 fantasy baseball season and the first pitch that counts is still a month away.  While Altherr is not anywhere near the player Peralta is yet, he did carry a bit of sleeper potential on a bad Philadelphia Phillies team that was prepared to give him a starting outfield spot.  The 25-year old will miss the next 4-6 months after surgery to repair a torn tendon sheath in his wrist and that pretty much writes him off for the 2016 season.  While Altherr hit only .241 in 137 at-bats last season, he did smack 5 home runs and steal 6 bases which made him at least a bit intriguing.  Take him off your cheat sheets and move on for good.
