FANTASY BASEBALL INJURY FALLOUT: JARROD DYSON COULD BE DOWN WEEKS DUE TO OBLIQUE INJURY

After years as serving as a fourth outfielder for the Kansas City Royals for the last couple of seasons, speedster Jarrod Dyson was finally being given a chance to claim a starting outfielder job for the team for the 2016 season.  Capable of monster stolen base numbers as a starter, Dyson was looking like an intriguing fantasy baseball third outfielder.  Then the Cactus League began and Dyson injured the dreaded oblique during an at-bat in Wednesday's game which necessitates an MRI.  Manager Ned Yost said he expected Dyson to be down "a couple weeks, minimum" which is obviously not what you want to hear.  We all know how tough a strained or injured oblique is to come back from and so the expectation is that Dyson could be down for awhile and to the point it may threaten his opening day status.  Check back tomorrow for more information on the severity of the injury but right now it is not looking good for Dyson.
