FANTASY BASEBALL BREAKING NEWS: MADISON BUMGARNER DOWN FOR 1-2 STARTS DUE TO FOOT AND OBLIQUE ISSUES

Ace San Francisco Giants starter Madison Bumgarner will miss his next 1-2 spring training starts due to a bout of rib cage pain and a neuroma that was found on his foot.  An MRI showed the oblique region was not impacted and he also took a cortisone shot to remedy the foot.

Analysis:  Not what you want to hear from your ace with the season weeks away but Bumgarner should be ready to go for the opener as long as he just misses the 1-2 starts.  Eventually the massive amount of innings the guy has undertaken in his still young career will begin to take a toll like it did with former and current teammates Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain but for now Bumgarner is safe as a top 5 fantasy baseball pitcher.
