FANTASY BASEBALL NEWS: CURTIS GRANDERON (THUMB SURGERY) ALREADY HITTING

New York Mets outfielder Curtis Granderson has been hitting for almost a month now as he is ahead of schedule after undergoing offseason surgery to correct a torn ligament in his thumb.  Granderson is fully expected to be ready to bat leadoff for the Mets on Opening Day but he still could be eased into spring training action as a precaution.

Analysis:  Granderson really did a nice job reinventing himself last season in batting leadoff for the Mets, boosting his on-base percentage while also hitting 26 home runs with 11 stolen bases.  His average will always be an issue due to a high K rate and issues against lefties but Granderson seems set to be a solid outfielder 3 in fantasy baseball again this season.
