FANTASY FOOTBALL BREAKING NEWS: TOM COUGHLIN EXPECRED TO RESIGN MONDAY

There are widespread reports from multiple sources that New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin will resign on Monday after his team missed the playoffs for the fourth straight season.  Closing in on 70 years old, there was a ton of heat on Coughlin after the Giants flopped again this season despite having Eli Manning still in his prime years.  While Giant team sources have not said this is official, the team reportedly has had talks with Coughlin about how to go out gracefully.

Analysis:  After 12 years and 2 Super Bowl titles, it is clearly time for Coughlin to step away as the team simply has not responded to him anymore.  The Giants will cast a wide net for their new coach but Notre Dame's Brian Kelly will not be under consideration since he wants total control over personnel which goes against team policy.  GM Jerry Reese is expected to return and will head a list that will likely include Carolina Panthers DC Sean McDermott and Cincinnati Bengals OC Hue Jackson.
