FANTASY BASEBALL NEWS: METS WON'T COME NEAR NATS OFFER FOR YOENIS CESPEDES

The New York Mets will only go to three years at most for free agent outfielder Yoenis Cespedes despite the NL Eats rival Washington Nationals offering up a five-year deal to the Cuban slugger.

Analysis:  No shock here as Sandy Alderson loathes long-term deals but this is going to be tough for Met fans to swallow in losing Daniel Murphy and maybe now Cespedes to the Nationals.  No matter the ballpark, Cespedes is a 30-plus home run hitter who will be a low-end fantasy baseball outfielder 1 this season.
