FANTASY BASEBALL BREAKING NEWS: ORIOLES READY TO REPLACE CHRIS DAVIS WITH YOENIS CESPEDES

The Baltimore Orioles reportedly are ready to full move away from slugging first baseman/outfielder Chris Davis and instead will focus heavily on free agent outfielder Yoenis Cespedes who they offered a five-year deal to.  Davis and the Orioles have been haggling over the terms of a possible contract since the start of free agency but ownership is growing increasingly impatient and annoyed with his demands.  With Cespedes still on the market, the team is now trying to make a move on the Cuban slugger top fill their power-hitting void.

Analysis:  The offer to Cespedes could surely be a ploy by the Orioles to get Davis to accept their offer which is supposedly somewhere in the $160 million range.  Cespedes in Baltimore would be a sight to see as he reached the 40-home run mark in 2015 while calling two prime pitcher parks home.  Stay tuned.
