FANTASY BASEBALL BREAKING NEWS: CHRIS CARTER NETS ONE-YEAR DEAL WITH BREWERS

The Milwaukee Brewers signed free agent slugging first baseman Chris Carter to a one-year deal worth $2.5 million.  Carter was non-tendered by the Houston Astros earlier this winter and the Brewers bought low on the veteran to fill their first base hole after the moved Adam Lind to the Seattle Mariners.

Analysis:  Carter is the new Adam Dunn in terms of 25 home run power with an average near or even below .200.  He has some value in NL-only formats but in mixed leagues he is barely worth using a roster spot on due to the hurt his average will put on that category.
