FANTASY BASEBALL BREAKING NEWS: RED SOX TO INK DAVID PRICE TO 7-YEAR/$217 MILLION DEAL

The Boston Red Sox signaled that they mean business in terms of getting back into the AL East race this season as they reportedly signed free agent ace pitcher David Price to a seven-year deal worth $217 million.  Price comes off the market just a few days after Jordan Zimmerman got the ball rolling after signing as a free agent with the Detroit Tigers.  The move to Boston now means Price has played for three teams in the AL East, having also been with the Tampa Bay Rays and during the second half of 2015 with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Analysis:  Wow.  There it is as we said the ace market would start flowing once the first guy went off the board.  Price seems to enjoy the AL East as he doesn't seem to want to leave there.  As much of a drag as it is to pitch in the AL East, Price has put up ace numbers and been truly dominant there for the majority of his career and he should continue to be graded as a top 5-7 fantasy baseball ace for 2016 as well.
