FANTASY BASEBALL BREAKING NEWS: BLUE JAYS PICK UP JESSE CHAVEZ FROM A'S

The Toronto Blue Jays once again are leading the pack in Hot Stove moves as they acquired veteran starting pitcher Jesse Chavez from the Oakland A's on Friday for RHP Liam Hendricks.  Chavez comes off a solid 2015 campaign where he pitched to a 4.18 ERA while also dealing with a sizable struggle in the second half of the season.

Analysis:  Chavez is a nice pitcher but he is just a back-end guy who has minimal fantasy baseball value.  He has pitched quite well during the first half of the last two seasons but bombed completely in the second halves both times as well.  It looks like Chavez is the classic sell high guy in July as his arm simply has not shown it can withstand the rigors of a full major league season.
