FANTASY BASEBALL BREAKING TRADE DEADLINE NEWS: YANKS PICK UP DUSTIN ACKLEY FROM SEATTLE

Plagued with infield issues all season, the New York Yankees traded for second baseman/outfielder Dustin Ackley from the Seattle Mariners for outfielder Ramon Flores and RHP Jose Ramirez.  There is no word yet on whether or not Ackley will start at second base for the Yankees as the former number 2 pick in the 2009 draft has his most experience there and at the very least this move will likely keep Rob Refsnyder in the minors until September.

Analysis:  Surprising and somewhat needless move by the Yankee as Refsnyder should be starting at second base.   Ackley has proven he simply can't hit, having batted under .250 for his career with little to no power.  Meanwhile the Yanks need to get moving on getting a starting pitcher after losing Michael Pineda to the DL earlier in the day on Thursday.
