FANTASY BASEBALL BREAKING NEWS: METS TO ACQUIRE OUTFIELDER CARLOS GOMEZ FROM BREWERS

The New York Mets have completed a blockbuster deal with the Milwaukee Brewers, acquiring outfielder Carlos Gomez for shortstop Wilmer Flores and injured starting pitcher Zack Wheeler.  Gomez reunites with the Mets who first drafted him and where he made his MLB debut before he was moved in the Johan Santana trade with the Minnesota Twins.  Wheeler meanwhile is out all of 2015 and half of 2016 as he recovers from Tommy John surgery but was considered a top pitching prospect before the procedure.

Analysis:  Wow.  I mean.....Wow.  Huge deal for the Mets who in the last week have acquired Kelly Johnson, Juan Uribe, Tyler Clippard, and now Carlos Gomez.  They also promoted top outfield prospect Michael Conforto as well.  Gomez will likely lead off for the Mets, allowing Curtis Granderson to move down in the order to collect more RBI with his power.
