FANTASY FOOTBALL AT THE COMBINE: VICTOR CRUZ NOT BEING COUNTED ON FOR 2015 AS IMPACT PLAYER

By Randy Rubin

Indianapolis, IN.--New York Giants GM Jerry Reese just finished his chat with reporters and the highlight was him saying that the team doesn't anticipate Victor Cruz being the same number 1 wideout he was before his gruesome knee injury last season.  With Odell Beckham Jr. turning into a top five guy overnight, the Giants may look to the draft and maybe even in Round 1 with someone like West Virginia's Kevin White as a replacement.

-The Browns remain central to what is going on here as Brian Hoyer and the team have not completely shut the door on one another just yet.  Hoyer was excellent the first half of last season but brutal in the second as he was benched for Johnny Manziel.  He remains one of a few veteran guys out there on the market along with Mark Sanchez who has had little buzz surrounding his name and Josh McCown.

-Anonymous sources continue to pop up saying that Florida State QB Jameis Winston's shoulder is "bad" and worse than he is letting on.  This is becoming the main story here and rightfully so since before this news it was widely assumed he would be the top pick for the Buc's.  Now all bets could be off.

-The Giants and free agent DE Jason Pierre-Paul have begun contract talks but if nothing get done long-term, the team will place the franchise tag on him.

-Amari Cooper ran a 4.42 40 which pretty much confirms his top four standing.  Kid will be an absolute star.

-Alabama safety Landon Collins could be the are guy at his position to go in the top ten.  HE measured in at 6-0 and 228 pounds.

-Oklahoma WR Dorial Green-Beckham ran a 4.49 40-time.  Green-Beckham is a polarizing kid in that he was arrested twice in college and dismissed from Missouri due to off-the-field garbage.  He vowed for all that would listen that he was not going to mess up anymore as he aims toward the draft.  On talent alone Green-Beckham was a first round pick but his issues clearly will push him into the second or third round.
