FANTASY FOOTBALL AT THE COMBINE: 6-9 MONTH RECOVERY FOR GEORGIA RB TODD GURLEY

By Randy Rubin

Indianapolis, IN.--The action continues to heat up here at the NFL Scouting Combine as more big-name measureables are coming in, along with news concerning free agency.  Let's get right to it.

-Georgia RB Todd Gurley will need 6-9 months to recover from the torn ACL he suffered back in November.  Durability is a big question mark with Gurley and the timetable has him unlikely to be ready for the start of training camp.  This could surely knock him down to Round 2.

-It looks like Devonte Freeman will be the lead back for the Atlanta Falcons this season.  With the woeful Steven Jackson not returning, the big-play ability of Freeman will put him squarely into sleeper status for 2015.

-There is increased chatter that Adrian Peterson will be in a new uniform in 2015 as he reportedly is still hurt by the Vikings after they worked with the NFL on his suspension last season.  The Dallas Cowboys would figure to be very prominent here in bringing the in-state talent home if DeMarco Murray bolts.
