2015 FANTASY BASEBALL ISSUES: JUST DRAFT THE PADRES ROTATION AND YOUR STARTERS ARE SET

In the "I so want to do this" file, I took a look a the suddenly very impressive and at the same time affordable San Diego Padres starting rotation and had the idea to draft every member of the five-some to anchor my staff on one of my teams this season.  Your initial reaction to this of course would be that I need to get more sleep but hear me out please.  First take a look at the five-some and their numbers last season:

James Shields:  14-8 3.21 ERA 1.18 WHIP 180 K
Ian Kennedy:  13-13 3.63 ERA 1.29 WHIP 207 K
Tyson Ross:  13-14 2.81 ERA 1.21 WHIP 195 K
Andrew Cashner:  5-7 2.55 ERA 1.13 WHIP 110 K
Brandon Morrow:  1-3 5.67 ERA 1.65 WHIP 30 K

Ignore the records as the Padres were awful last year but they have been the clear Hot Stove MVP's of the offseason as they imported Justin Upton, Matt Kemp, Wil Myers, Derek Norris, Will Middlebrooks and Shields.  The first four starters in the Padres rotation all pitched like an ace in 2014 and all four will likely post winning records with three possibly going over the 200-K level.  Throw in terrific WHIP's by Shields, Ross, and Cashner and you can easily draft the top four guys and take a shot on Morrow real late and post terrific ratios and strikeout numbers.  It sounds crazy but it just might work.
