FANTASY SPORTS BOSS OFF TO 0-1 START IN EXPERTS PPR FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Well that wasn't the start I was looking for.  Yours truly sits at 0-1 and in ninth place out of 10 teams in the Fantasy Sports Boss Fantasy Football PPR league.  Despite starting Matt Ryan and seeing him go for a monstrous amount of points in throwing for over 400 yards and 3 scores, my ridiculous array of starting receivers Dez Bryant, Demaryuis Thomas, and Julio Jones.  Bryant wound up being a complete non-factor, while both Jones and Thomas failed to score.  All in all a very disappointing start for that trio.  Making matters worse, my best performing wideout was Brandin Cooks who of course was on my bench.

As far as the rest of my team was concerned, Jason Witten joined Bryant in the no-show category in catching only two balls.  Witten is aging and has been under 80 catches two of the last three seasons but the matchup was tough and he remains a prime safety valve for Tony Romo.  Meanwhile Arian Foster did well enough in clawing out 100 rushing yards but he too failed to score.  And I ultimately decided to go with Ben Tate over Toby Gerhart and Zac Stacy which went bust as the Browns back went out in the first half with injury and did nothing before leaving.  Gerhart and Stacy were non-factors as well so my second running back slot was a mess.  Finally, my Kansas City Chiefs defense was shredded by the Tennessee Titans of all teams which continued a second half of collapse from the season prior.  And with my opponent getting monster games from Julius Thomas and Percy Harvin to go with solid numbers everywhere else, I was finished.

The one saving grace I have in my favor going into Week 2 is that someone dropped Knowshon Moreno before Week 1 and since I have the top waiver spot, he is mine which will surely help me.  Still this is a must win game for me already but the competition is steep since I will be facing the Peyton Manning owner.  It is getting rough already.  I surely didn't think I would be having this conversation with all of you yet.
