FANTASY FOOTBALL WEDNESDAY INJURY WRAPUP: RODDY WHITE VOWS TO PLAY THURSDAY

Injuries ruled the day in fantasy football Week 2 which has thrown Week 3 into total chaos when it comes to developing lineups.  With practices fully underway around the NFL, let's check in on all the latest injury news with an eye toward this week's games.

-Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White is being listed as questionable to play Thursday night versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to a hamstring injury that he first hurt in last Sunday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Reports coming out of Atlanta headquarters and confirmed by ESPN are that White vows that he will play in the game no questions asked.  No stranger to injury going back to 2013, White has gotten off to a solid but unspectacular start this season and will have a nice matchup against a rocky Buccaneers secondary.

-St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis has gotten all the first-team reps for the team so far this week which speaks volumes to the likelihood he will start Sunday versus the Dallas Cowboys.  Davis surprised many by playing well in upsetting the Buccaneers on the road last week and Shaun Hill remains bothered by a thigh issue.

-No surprise that Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles failed to practice on Wednesday due to the high ankle sprain he sustained in Week 2.  While the Chiefs have not said it publicly, Charles is expected to miss at least a month with the sprain as the very solid Knile Davis fills-in.  Davis was terrific in Week 2 filling in for Charles after he got hurt as he rushed for two scores on the day.  He is a top ten back in fantasy football as long as Charles is out.

-Jacksonville Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts did some work in practice this week after missing Week 2 with a bum hamstring but the flip side is that rookie Marqise Lee re-injured his hammy which has him questionable for Sunday.  Both men are very low end WR 3's at best.

-Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin is listed as questionable to play Thursday due to ongoing pain in his knee.  All of those who picked up Bobby Rainey would love nothing more than to see Martin sit another week due to how incredible good he was last Sunday in rushing for 144 yards.  Rainey is a low end RB 1 if Martin does sit but goes to a bench guy if he returns to the lineup.

-New York Jets WR Eric Decker didn't practice on Wednesday due to his hamstring injury and there are growing sentiments he won't be able to go against the Chicago Bears on Monday night.  Decker is a rock solid WR 3 whose absence will elevate Jeremy Kerley some.

-Like with Decker, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green was a no-go in practice Wednesday as expected due to his foot injury.  Green has already been pretty much ruled out for Week 3 as Mohamud Sanu moves up to WR 3 territory.

-Denver Broncos WR Wes Welker was fully cleared to play in Week 3 after his four-game PED suspension was lifted due to the ratification of the new drug testing program.  Already cleared from his concussion protocol, Welker will be a full-go against the Seattle Seahawks.
