FANTASY BASEBALL POLL RESULTS: WACHA BY A NOSE

                                                          Shelby Miller

I posted a poll a week ago asking who would draft over the others when it came to four young top notch pitching prospects which included the St. Louis Cardinals' Shelby Miller and Michael Wacha to go along with Pittsburgh Pirates fireballer Gerrit Cole, and the Cincinnati Reds' Tony Cingrani.  The final results were incredibly close as Wacha ended up with only one vote more than the tied Miller and Cole while Cingrani came in last a full 5 votes behind Wacha.  I have to say that I was not surprised that Cingrani finished last as he didn't pitch enough innings and was up and down too much for him to gain much pub which is actually a good thing when it comes to drafting him this season.  Cingrani has top notch K stuff and only has to keep the baseball in the park to have ace numbers.

I was surprised that Miller didn't come out on top however.  Miller is the better strikeout pitcher than Wacha even though the latter average a K/IP in his time with the Cards last season.  Miller is also our darkhorse NL Cy Young pick so we are partial there as well.  Finally Miller will pitch more innings than Wacha who is a full season behind in his climb so the team will hold him to a lower total.  Cole meanwhile is an absolute gem who I have said on numerous occasions I want on all of my teams.  The Justin Verlander comparison is spot on right on down to his 100-mph fastball.  Long-term Cole is the guy to own over them all.  If I were drafting tomorrow I would go in this order:  Miller, Cole, Wacha, Cingrani.  Based on the poll however many see the order much differently than I do.

Let us know how you see them.  Rank your group below and post.
