FANTASY BASEBALL NEWS: IKE DAVIS SUFFERED THROUGH OBLIQUE INJURY IN 2013

New York Mets 1B Ike Davis admitted on Monday that he hid an oblique injury from the team during his horrific 2013 season.  Davis struggled so badly during the first half of the season that he was eventually sent back down to the minor leagues.  He hit well when called back up over the summer but the Mets have actively been trying to deal him all winter.

Analysis:  The Mets can't be too pleased about this and it likely solidified their desire to move him and keep Lucas Duda.  Either way Davis has very little fantasy baseball value other than as a bench guy with possible power upside.
