HOCKEY FIGHTS CENTRAL COMMENTARY: THE BRAWL TO END ALL BRAWLS SUNDAY NIGHT

I told you when the preseason began that fighting would be at its most abundant and sometimes chaotic.  Well the Toronto Maple Leafs and Buffalo Sabres decided to prove this notion in one fell swoop Sunday night by taking part in one of the biggest brawls the league has seen in awhile.  It began innocently enough with Toronto's Jamie Devane KO'ing the Sabres' much smaller but willing Corey Troop.  Troop was in trouble as he lay on the ice with the team's trainers rushing to check on his well-being.  This of course didn't sit well with gigantic Sabres heavyweight John Scott who at 6'8 is among the most imposing players in the league and a top three fighter.  Scott took matters into his own hands once on the ice by decking Phil Kessel by chopping at his legs.  This set off the monster brawl with all the players on the ice getting involved in addition to some who went not out there.  More on that in a bit.  In addition, goalies Ryan Miller of Buffalo and Jonathan Bernier of Toronto went after one another and threw down their goalie gloves as they also engaged in a bout.  Finally, the height of it all came when Toronto's David Clarkson jumped off the bench to get after Scott which of course is a big no-no that will earn him a 10 game suspension.  Videos are up.  Enjoy and post some thoughts.
