FANTASY FOOTBALL FRIDAY INJURY REPORT: ANDRE JOHNSON LOOKING BETTER AND BETTER

Friday is always the key indicator day in determining whether an injured fantasy football player is going to be able to go Sunday or if they will ride the bench and force their owners to look elsewhere for help.  Let's take a look at the biggest stories heading into Week 4.

-Surprising news out of Houston in that Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said on Friday that star WR Andre Johnson is on track to start Sunday despite being limited in practice all week with a shin injury suffered last week.  Johnson was able to take part in Friday's workout which no doubt contributed greatly to Kubiak's optimism.  Take the coach at his word and expect Johnson to be out there.

-Don't look for Terrell Pryor to play Sunday as he barely took part in Friday's team workout.  Pryor has passed all the league concussion protocols except for one as of this writing and that alone has it likely that Matt Flynn will start getting the chance some of the money on his ridiculous contract.  Pryor has graduated into QB-2 status but look for him in Week 5.

-Aldon Smith will be out at least the next five weeks as he seeks treatment for a substance abuse issue.  That is a big blow to the San Francisco 49ers defense but they did look great on Thursday in dominating the St. Louis Rams.

-Miles Austin has already been ruled out for Week 4 with his latest hamstring injury.  Dwayne Harris takes his place and is worth a look in five receiver formats.

-Big games could be on tap for Cleveland Browns QB Brian Hoyer and tight end Jordan Cameron again this week as the Cincinnati Bengals will be without three cornerbacks.  Hoyer is worth a look in two QB formats while Cameron is performing like a top three tight end.

-Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice confirmed Friday he will be a game-time decision Sunday due to the hip flexor injury he suffered in Week 2.  Rice has taken part in practice this week but still admitted he is not 100 percent.  Bernard Pierce will be the one to start if Rice can't go.

-Ahmad Bradshaw has been ruled out for Week 4 with a neck injury which means a heavy dose of Trent Richardson is on tap Sunday.

-Despite being in a walking boot during the week due to a toe injury, Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton is expected to play Sunday.  He apparently was held out of practice this week due to the club being cautious.
