Chris Davis:  1/3 with his 22nd HR while hitting .337.  Started to get worry about Davis.  After all he hadn't homered in like 48 hours or so.

Chris Tillman:  six scoreless innings with an ERA of 3.61.  That's now three wins you could have had since I told you to pick up Tillman three weeks ago with a low 3.00 ERA.  I can't do it for you.

Jeff Locke:  seven scoreless innings for his sixth win with an ERA of 2.19.  If Locke were in the AL, I would worry about his 60 K's in 82. innings.  However the kid clearly has taken a page out of the Patrick Corbin book on how to get by in a weak NL division with middling K stuff.  Ride it out.

Justin Masterson:  7 IP 2 H 1 ER 4 BB 10 K with an ERA of 3.52.  The ERA is about where Masterson should be.  Nothing more or nothing less.  He will still throw in the 8-ER clunker that makes you want to pee on his baseball card but his improvement against lefties validates his consistency.

Matt Joyce:  2/4 with his 13th HR while hitting .269.  Just once I want to see Joyce not sucking fumes in July.  One more chance time.  So far so good.  Can't evaluate further until the summer gets going.

Matt Moore:  5 ER in 5.1 IP with an ERA of 4.12.  What a disaster this kid is.  I can't believe I am typing this considering how awesome Moore was the first month and half of the season.  We live in the present however and Moore is all screwed up.  Bench him outright in all leagues until we get two solid outings in a row.  Seriously.

Jose Fernandez:  7 IP 6 H 2 ER 2 BB 10 K with an ERA of 3.11.  I said when Fernandez first came up that he would be a second or third round pick as in the next year or so.  I stand by that prediction.

Jay Bruce:  1/4 with his 11th HR while hitting .279.  Come on Jay.  Keep that average above .270 and we will return our love exponentially.

Madison Bumgarner:  7 IP 2 H 0 ER 1 BB 10 K with an ERA of 3.30.  Just to show you it happens to the best of us.  I own Bumgarner in both leagues and with distractions being caused by the distribution of the Fantasy Football Draft Guide, I assumed I had Bumgarner in the lineup.  No on both accounts.  Needless to say I think my foot is broken considering how many times it was put to my ass with wicked velocity.

Colby Rasmus:  1/3 with his 11th HR while hitting .250.   I always seem to own this schmuck once a season when injuries hit my outfield.  Don't worry he will be cut any day now if Austin Jackson can hurry the hell up already.

J.P. Arencibia:  1/4 with his 13th HR while hitting .211.  Arencibia didn't live up to my pleas to even hit .250.  You can't own him now with him challenging the Mendoza Line.

Chris Sale:  8 IP 5 H 0 ER 1 BB 14 K with an ERA of 2.43.  Crazy good but again it was Houston which means Sale would have had 10 K's against anyone else.  Best part of all this is that (commence knocking on wood) Sale has held up to this point when it comes to his health.

Carlos Gonzalez:  4/4 with his 19th HR and 13th SB while hitting .333.  Guess the ankle is feeling fine.  This is the second time CarGo has come off a minor ailment to have a monster game.  And monster is the only way to describe how dominant Gonzalez has been this season.

Josh Rutledge:  1/5 with his sixth HR while hitting .241.  Rutledge was on fire in the minors after his demotion and is off to a nice start on his encore.  Pick him up as the power/speed game has been apparent all season.

Mike Zunino:  1/3 with his first HR while hitting .286.   Nothing much here as Zunino is supposed to hit for power.  Has to show he can hit more than .250 however.
