FANTASY BASEBALL ISSUES: RICKY WILLIAMS SIGNS WITH BALTIMORE, MORE OF THE SAME FOR RAY RICE

The fantasy football world got a jolt of excitement when Willis McGahee signed a free agent contract with the Denver Broncos a few weeks back as thought of Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice finally getting goal line responsibilites along with supplying the rest of his top notch numbers.  Well those thoughts lasted about as long as they entered the mind as the Ravens today signed Ricky Williams to a free agent pact to serve as the goal-line runner for the club.  So this obviously means its more of the same for Rice as far as putting up big time running and receiving numbers, but being a bit light on the touchdown ledger.  This also means he has to be dongraded behind Michael Turner and Rashard Mendenhall in TD heavy fantasy football leagues and placed above those two in PPR formats.  What a shame.
