The Boston Red Sox placed outfielder Carl Crawford on the DL on Saturday due to the Grade 1 hamstring strain he suffered in Friday's game. Crawford injured the hamstring while beating out a first inning infield single and he was immediately removed from the contest. The Grade 1 strain is the least severe but the team wants to be cautious.
Analysis: Tough break here but its not like Crawford was doing much to justify the high fantasy baseball draft choice he warranted. Stash him away and hope he starts hitting when he gets back so you can get out of this mess.
