In a bit of surprising news, the Atlanta Bravaes placed 2B Martin Prado on the DL Friday due to a staph infection in his right calf. The move was backdated to June 8th and there is no timetable for when he will get back.
Analysis: Pardo has been having a very solid season for fantasy baseball purposes and so this is a sizable loss fror his owners. Staph infections usually dont require more than 2 weeks of time on the DL so dont anticipate him being out long.
